Undefeated welterweight contender Thomas Dulorme appeared on a recent edition of The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene's official audio show. Dulorme spoke on a variety of topics, including his training sessions with former junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana.

"I learned a lot from sparring with Maidana. It was a great experience for me," Dulorme stated. "Every boxer has a certain type of offense and I learned a lot from the two times I worked with him when he trained out here in Puerto Rico. He is a great guy and so is his team. Maidana is a real funny guy."

Dulorme wouldn't say who got the best of the sparring and instead said that both fighters had their moments.

"It was great for both of us. Maidana was in great condition. So was I. I was training for a fight myself. We both had our moments and had our chances to land big punches," Dulorme told us on The Boxing Lab.

I asked Dulorme for a prediction on the upcoming Marcos Maidana versus Jesus Soto Karass clash. Not surprisingly Dulorme backed his friend to leave the ring with his hand raised in victory. Maidana vs. Soto Karrass takes place on September 15th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, as part of the Saul Alvarez-Josesito Lopez undercard.

"I think Maidana will win. He is a very strong fighter and can hurt anyone from 140 to 147 pounds plus his new trainer (Robert Garcia) will help him out as well," Dulorme stated.
