On Friday night undefeated cruiserweight contender Yunier Dorticos (19-0 18 KOs) returned to the ring with a first knockout of veteran Galen brown (43-31-1). The fight took place in Kissimmee, Florida.

It was the first fight for the Cuban knockout artist in just over a year.

"I feel really good about the fight. I did what I was supposed to do. I am happy to be back after the lay off and I an ready to fight for a title," said Dorticos.

With the win Dorticos keeps his position as the #2 ranked cruiserweight by the WBA. He will be an interested observer of Saturday's Beibut Shumenov-BJ Flores NBC Sports televised bout for the interim WBA cruiserweight title.

Dorticos wants to make it known that he would like his next to appearance to be against the winner.

"I would like to personally challenge BJ Flores and/or Beibut Shumenov. Whoever wins that fight next week - I am ready. I have been ranked #2 by the WBA for a while. I earned my ranking and my chance to fight the winner. I am ready to fight the winner for the interim title or fight for the full title versus Lebedev. I am ready for the big fights," Dorticos told BoxingScene.com.
