2300 Arena, Philadelphia - In a lightweight clash, Devin Haney (19-0, 13 KOs), 19-years-old, took a big step up in class, and dominated Mason Menard (33-3, 24 KOs) for a stoppage win in nine rounds.

Haney came out with a very sharp jab in the first round. Haney was using side to side movement, was much faster than Menard and was tagging him up with some hard punches.

Menard was trying to cut off the distance in the second round, but he was being busted up and couldn't get close enough to Haney. The young boxer was very quick with his hands and feet, not allowing Menard to do anything.

Menard was plodding forward in the third round, with very few adjustments being made -as Haney was dominating him with speed and accurate punches to the head.

The fourth and fifth rounds were dominated by Haney, who began to open up more with combinations. Menard was already very frustrated by the sixth round. He just couldn't catch up to Haney at any moment during the action. Haney began to sit down on his punches more often in the final minute.

The seventh round was more of the same. Menard was not taking any chances, electing to follow Haney all around the ring. In the eight round Haney was taking his time, working his punches and controlled all of the action.

Haney continued to sit down on his punches in the ninth, potentially looking to close the show and he was busting up Menard. The corner decided to stop the fight prior to the tenth round.

Also on the card, a battle of super bantamweights saw Joshua Greer (17-1-1, 9 KOs), score an eight round stoppage of Glenn Dezurn (9-2-1, 6 KOs).

Dezurn was hurt earlier in the fight, and then dropped hard in the eight and final round. He made it up in bad shape and began to get battered until the referee jumped in to wave off the fight.
