Darley Perez of Colombia (28-0, 19 KO) will look to counter Yuriorkis Gamboa (22-0, 16 KO) on Saturday night as part of the HBO televised undercard at the Bell Centre in Quebec, Canada. Chad Dawson defending his WBC light heavyweight title against Adonis Stevenson is the headliner of the night.

Perez has seen Gamboa hurt, and dropped, in several fights from counter punches.

"I have studied him. We have discussed his weak points. He doesn't have the best defense and his fights have clearly shown that. A good counter attack can hurt him. I don't want to say too much about what I've prepared for him. [Mamadjonov] hits hard and he is very strong, but my best boxing pulled me through. If I could take all of his punches, I think I can do it with Gamboa. I want you to know that I've waited for an opportunity like this my entire life and I will not let it escape me. Gamboa, I do not take him lightly, but hopefully he will not take me too seriously," Perez told George Ebro.
