Former crusierweight champion Danny Green (31-5, 27KOs) will take on Danny Santiago (31-5-1, 19KOs) on July 25th in Perth. Green says it might be the final time that he sees action in Western Australia. Santiago has lost three of his last five, including a TKO loss to WBA 175-pound champion Beibut Shumenov in 2011. Green hasn't fought since he lost to WBC champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk at Challenge Stadium in November.

"It will be most probably the last time I fight in Western Australia, so it means a hell of a lot to me. We've chosen a very exciting guy in Santiago," Green said. "Nothing soft comes out of Bronx, and he's a very tough guy. This isn't just a fight to have a fight, I'm not going anywhere, I'm looking at campaigning at a lower weight and see how I can handle the weight."

Besides Santiago, Green would love to close his career with a grudge rematch against Mundine.

"This fight here proves I'm prepared to come down (in weight) and give Australia what they want to see... this is my way of saying I'm dinkum.. in a way I'm smoking him out of his hole," he said.

"That's the fight that he's called, that's the fight Australia wants to see.. and I think it would be an exciting match-up. If it happens, it'll be a blockbuster, but I can't force the guy. A victory over Mundine would be a great way to go out."
