IBF middleweight champion Daniel "Real Deal" Geale (26-1, 15KOs) will hold his first mandatory title fight in Tasmania on February 29th, six months after his successful bout in Hobart. Geale defeated Nigerian-born American Eromosele "Bad Boy" Albert in front of 5000 parochial fans at the Derwent Entertainment Centre in August to retain the belt he claimed by downing Sebastian Sylvester in Germany in May.

He will now face Osumanu Adama, who holds an impressive 20-2 record, early next year. The much-anticipated fight will take place at the Silverdome in Launceston or back at the DEC. Adama, who hails from Ghana, defeated Roman Karmazin in a title eliminator with a ninth-round knockout in October. He is a former IBO world titleholder and will prove to be Geale's toughest opponent.

The undercard will also feature Kali Meehan, Jamie Pittman and local Steve Maxwell.
