Heavyweight prospect Dainier “The Fear” Pero believes he can compete with any of the top heavyweights in the world.

The Cuban prospect was an interested spectator last weekend when Jarrell Miller and Andy Ruiz battled to a draw and Martin Bakole wiped out Jared Anderson.

“After watching this past weekend’s fights, I truly believe my speed and footwork give me an edge against any heavyweight out there,” said Pero. “I showed a lot in my last fight. I’m ready to take on anyone and prove that I belong among the best in the division.

“My latest victory was a statement, but it’s only the beginning. I’m ready to step up and take on bigger challenges. I want to prove myself against the best and continue my journey to the top.”

Pero is 8-0 with six stoppage wins having stopped 7-2-1 (7 KOs) James Evans in round five in July.

The Cuban’s well-respected Bob Santos has also tipped Pero for the top.

“I’ve trained many fighters, but Dainier Pero is something special. His combination of speed, power, and footwork is amazing. I firmly believe we have the next great heavyweight star in boxing. He’s a bigger version of Oleksandr Usyk.”
