AGON promoted middleweight Jack Culcay fights Sergiy Derevyanchenko on April 13 in Minneapolis and will now have none other than former WBA, WBO and EBU champ Juergen Braehmer as trainer along with Michael Stachewicz.

Braehmer also trains another AGON fighter in Tyron Zeuge.

No word on Braehmer´s still ongoing fighting career though but he is still mandatory challenger for the EBU super middleweight title.

Romanian cruiser Alexandru Jur (18-2) take son former WBC champ Krzystof Wlodarczyk (56-4-1) March 23 in Lomza, Poland. It´s a very important fight for both. Jur suffered tough losses to Taylor Mabika and Dmytri Kudryashov while the 37-year old Wlodarczyk must be near the end of his long career.

Germany-based heavyweight Tshibuabua Kalonga, also known as Junior Maximus, (9-0) is about to open his own gym in Duesseldorf. Kalonga won the ABU title last year and targets a fight against WBC Int´l champ Filip Hrgovic. Kalonga started his career back in 2006 but had a long layoff and came back in 2016.

Yesterday came the news that Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin (20-0) has signed with Salita Promotions. The plan according to Dmitriy Sailta is to build on Wallin´s reputation in Sweden and Europe and at the same time expose him to the American market. First up is a fight April 13 but Otto is also mandatory challenger for the EBU title currently held by Agit Kabayel. If Wallin and Salita Promotions will go through with that fight is an open question though.

On March 16 German cruiserweight Artur Mann challenges IBO champ Kevin Lerena in Johannesburg, South Africa. There will be two other Germans on the bill in welterweight Timo Schwarzkopf (19-2) and super middleweight Xhek Paskali (5-0). Schwarzkopf take on Gift Bholo (7-8) while Paskali is in against Alex Kabangu (4-1-1).
