WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford (24-0, 17KOs) warned Olympic gold medal winner Yuriorkis Gamboa (23-1, 16KOs) that he made a big mistake in accepting their fight. Before a crowd of nearly 11,000 fans at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Crawford dropped Gamboa four times before the fight was waved off.

Even before the fight took place, Crawford told media members that he felt the much shorter Gamboa was undersized and didn't have the firepower to compete with the best fighters, who were much bigger, at 135-pounds. He feels Gamboa should really be competing at 126 or 130-pounds.

"I commend Gamboa for taking the fight, but I felt that it was my time, that I was destined to win this fight. I told Gamboa 'you shouldn't have took this fight,' Crawford said.

"That's how he fights. He's shown nothing else but coming out and jumping on his opponents. We were prepared for everything he brings. Everybody knows Gamboa gets dropped in fights, everybody knows he always gets back up and wins. We were prepared for whatever came to the table. Like I told everybody before the fight happened, I felt Gamboa was a 126, 130-pounder. I didn't believe he was a real, legitimate 135-pounder."
