According to Vladimir Hryunov, one of the top Russian promoters, his middleweight protégé Dmitry Chudinov (14-1-2, 9 KOs), who suffered a bitter twelfth-round TKO in the third defense of his WBA-interim title to once-defeated Chris Eubank Jr. (19-1, 14 KOs) this February, will be granted with a rematch against his victor.

“WBA Board had a lengthy discussion over Dmitry’s latest bout, scandals with the British Boxing Board of Control and referee’s work in that fight. WBA has taken into account my protest, and it has decided to re-install Chudinov in a #2 position with a simultaneous requirement for Eubank Jr. to give Dmitry a rematch. But before that both fighters will have a chance to hold non-title fights," commented Hryunov to R-Sport.

Chudinov will take an advantage of that permission on August 22 in Sevastopol, when he fights 18-3, 10 KOs Australian Jarrod Fletcher.
