The rapidly rising Chudinov brothers – the newest product of the most well-known Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov – have set their aims at WBA world titles in the super middleweight and middleweight divisions.

Dmitry (13-0-2, 8 KOs), the younger and the more established of the two, will try his luck on Aug. 9 in Sevastopol, Crimea, as a part of a huge open-air bike show. Chudinov, 27 and rated #1 by the WBA, will risk his WBA interim middleweight title against rugged French veteran Mehdi Bouadla (30-5, 11 KOs). WBA #12 Bouadla, 32, is coming off a four-fight winning streak (all being UD 6) since his only world title shot, which ended in the eighth-round TKO to WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham in December 2012.

“Sevastopol is a sacred icon of Russian Military Glory”, stated Hryunov. “To be the first who will enter this city with such a huge sportive event… is an enormous feat. We supported the idea of “Russian Bikers” president Alexander Zaldostanov to arrange a fight night here, and that’s what we shall do! I’m sure this event will bring attention from fans and media both in Russian and abroad”.

“I’ll take on a very serious and hard opponent”, commented Chudinov, who is coming off a unanimous decision over fellow undefeated Dane Patrick Nielsen. “He is getting more and more dangerous with each fight, he is just reaching his prime. All of the losses suffered by him were at the very beginning of his career. He is determined and ready, and so I am. However, only the ring will tell who is a better man. I feel an enormous pressure to fight here in the heroic city of Sevastopol. I’ll do everything I can do win this fight!”

Chudinov is presently listed as theWBA interim titleholder in July WBA rankings. WBA #2 Jarrod Fletcher and WBA #4 Danny Jacobs are said to be fighting for a vacant “regular” title on the same date in America. WBA super champion Gennady Golovkin defends his belt against Daniel Geale on July 26.

Also on the card are heavyweights Vladimir Goncharov (3-0, 2 KOs) and Petr Doroshilov (debutant). The latter will continue the sad journey of British veteran Danny “The Brixton Bomber” Williams (46-22, 35 KOs). The presser to announce the whole event will be held on July 17.

Meanwhile, WBA #2 super middleweight Fedor Chudinov (11-0, 9 KOs), 26, fresh off his TKO 3 victory over previously unbeaten Dominican Andy Perez (19-0, 18 KOs), is now nominated to face WBA #1 rated Ukrainian Stas Kashtanov (31-1, 17 KOs) for Kashtanov’s WBA interim super middleweight title.

Kashtanov, 29, won his share of the title against teammate (22-0) Server Yemurlayev with a split decision in November 2012 and defended it once versus Costa Rican Jaime Barboza in August 2013. Both parties have 30 days for negotiations before the purse bid for his contest will be conducted.
