Chris John to Defend WBA Super Featherweight World Title Against Satoshi Hosono in Jakarta

Chris John will make the sixth defence of his WBA Super Featherweight World Title against Satoshi Hosono in Indonesia on April 14th. The event will be taking place at the Senayan Indoor Tennis Stadium in Jakarta and will also feature Indonesian Daud Yordan defending his IBO Featherweight Title against South Africa's Simpiwe Vetyeka.

This will be the first time John (48-0-2) has fought in Indonesia in two years. Hosono (23-2) has fought for world titles twice before but come up short on both occasions with the Japanese boxer defeated by Celestino Caballero in 2011 and Poonsawat Kratindaenggym in 2010.

Yordan (30-2) will be making the second defence of the IBO belt which he won by stopping Lorenzo Villanueva in Singapore last year when he goes up against Vetyeka (24-2) who has won a couple of international titles in the past and fought for a world title once before in 2007, losing a decision to Hozumi Hasegawa.

The show is being put on by Australia's Dragon Fire Promotions.
