The bantamwieght champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Panama's Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno, returned to the gym after a few days off and went right back to work. Moreno is down to 134-pounds and very focused on his upcoming defense against Lorenzo Parra on June 17 at Arena Roberto Duran. He went through six rounds of sparring and eight rounds on the heavybag, under the supervision of trainer Celso Chavez.

This will be the eighth defense for Chemito since winning his title from Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Sidorenko on May 31, 2008. Moreno has a record of 30 wins (10 knockouts), 1 loss and 1 draw, while his opponent will arrive with 31 wins (18 KOs) and 2 losses.
