WBC middleweight king Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. may bring in former champion Jose Luis Lopez to help train him for the scheduled defense with Ronald Hearns on September 17 in Mexico. Chavez's trainer, Freddie Roach, will be busy training Manny Pacquiao for his trilogy fight with Juan Manuel Marquez in November.

Chavez will also have conditioning coach Alex Ariza helping him in camp. Roach is expected to work Chavez's corner on the day of the fight.

"Alex Ariza will be with me, for [the camp], Freddie Roach will arrive until the day of the fight. Alex will be here for the full preparation, but Freddie Roach will be in the corner," Chavez told Sal Rodriguez. "I hope that his absence does not affect me. We are looking at grabbing two or three people who can help me. I want to bring in Jose Luis Lopez who can help me in many ways. I think, that would be ideal."
