Wilshire Grand, Los Angeles, CA - During the pre-fight hype for the middleweight title clash between WBC champion Sebastian Zbik and mandatory challenger Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., some big promises were made.

The fight takes place on Saturday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  It has been said that Chavez doesn't always take training seriously.  The "son of the legend" revealed that he trained harder for this fight than he has ever trained before.  He also promised the fans that he will deliver an exciting performance.

"In this fight I will leave it all in the ring and I promise a war.  I have trained like I have never trained before.  This will be a great fight for all the fans.  I have dreamed of this since I first started boxing and I am excited to finally have the opportunity (to fight for a title)," Chavez said.

Mexico currently holds more world titles than any other country and has a rich boxing tradition but the country has never produced a middleweight champion.  Chavez plans on changing that on Saturday night.

"I have a great team and I am very well prepared for this fight.  On Saturday Night I will make history.  I will be the first Mexican middleweight champion ever."
