IBF junior welterweight champion Cesar Cuenca (48-0, 2KOs) would like to get a crack at Danny Garcia (30-0, 17KOs), the former WBC/WBA champion at 140-pounds.

Two weeks ago in Macau, Cuenca captured the vacant IBF title when he easily decisioned undefeated Ik Yang, who was prepared by Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach for the match.

Garcia recently announced that he was moving up in weight and makes his welterweight debut on Saturday night against former champion Pauli Malignaggi at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

"I want Danny Garcia, I can beat him. Right now in the United States, they realized that I have the same record of [Floyd] Mayweather. This opportunity has opened up the door to do great things. I will now take a few days to travel. I want to thank my people. It would be nice to defend my crown in Argentina, with my people. At this level I have two years at most, but I'm willing to fight," Cuenca told Fox Deportes.
