Former Olympian Carlos Negron (16-1 and 12 KO's) will go foe the vacant FECARBOX heavyweight title of the World Boxing Council (WBC), when he faces Andy Perez (20-3, 19 KO's) on January 30th in Dominican Republic - according to José 'Toto' Peñagarícano, a member of the Board of Directors of the Superior Council of the WBC.
Another Puerto Rican fighter, Enrique 'Kikin' Collazo (7-0-1 and 6 KO's) will look that night to take the vacant middleweight crown of FECARBOX when he faces Basilio Silva (24-13, 21 KO's).
After two years away, Negron returned to the ring last December 19 when he easily knocked out Excell Holmes in a bout held at the Coliseum Tomas Dones in Fajardo.
