Junior featherweight Carlos Morales will fight former contender Luis Franco on August 5, Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Robert Diaz told BoxingScene.com over the weekend.

The 10 round bout will take place at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif. Estrella TV will broadcast the fight, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.

Morales (13-1-3, 6 KOs), who resides in nearby Highland Park, has won his last 13 fights in a row after going winless in his first four fights as a pro.

Franco does have a draw against former WBA World junior featherweight titleholder Javier Fortuna and a split decision win over former fringe contender Leonilo Miranda.
