Super bantamweight Yoandris Salinas (20-0-2, 13 KOs) plans to put on an impressive performance, when he returns to action on July 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Salinas will take part in a stay busy fight against Mexico's Enrique Quevedo (15-7-1, 9 KOs). The card will be headlined by another Mexico vs. Cuba encounter, when Saul "Canelo" Alvarez trades punches with WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara.

The return will be the first for Salinas since the twelve round majority draw against WBA champion Scott Quigg last October in London. Salinas wants to make a big impression on the Golden Boy executives, who are going to be ringside in Las Vegas.

"Salinas knows this fight is very important, because Golden Boy's executives will all be there to evaluate him," said coach Osmiri Fernandez to George Ebro. "A lot is riding on his performance that night and above everything his future. So we have to win convincingly."

"We are not concerned with the issue of preparation [with the layoff], because we never stop training [since last October's draw]. Only now we will speed up everything based on the opponent that was set. He is a Mexican based in Los Angeles and that says it all. We're confident, but with respect for the challenge."
