Trainer Enzo Calzaghe has told HattonBoxing that he put down a lot of money with the bookies on tonight's main event at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. He forked up the dollars on several wagers for Gavin Rees to defeat WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner and he predicts Rees will shock the world with a knockout victory.

Clazaghe remembers back when his son, Joe Cazlaghe, was matched against Jeff Lacy in 2006. Joe a massive underdog, even in his own country, and he sealed his legacy with a one-sided domination of Lacy for a twelve round decision in their super middleweight unification.

"I've bet on Gavin to win in different rounds and I got huge odds," Enzo revealed. "They're talking like this Broner is the new messiah in boxing but I think he's in for a shock. Gavin can box. He's been schooled properly and he can go forwards, backwards and to corners. He's very hard to catch and he's deceptive. His jab is amazing but because he's such a little guy, people don't realise how long his jab is.

"With it in America the other guy is going to be two rounds up without even throwing a punch, but I can't see him beating Gavin if he can't stop him. Gavin is a very dangerous being because he throws punches in bunches and he can cause an upset. I think he's going to stop Broner because I can't see him winning on points, even if he does he won't get it over there."
