Top junior welterweight prospect Cain Sandoval of Sacramento successfully made weight for his main event fight against Romero Duno, set for Saturday night at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, Calif.

Sandoval (13-0, 11 KOs) weighed in at 140.6 pounds, while Duno (26-4, 20 KOs), a nine-year veteran, came in at 139.8 pounds.

This bout marks Sandoval's third appearance in 2024. The Sacramento native, trained by Marcus Caballero, secured unanimous decision victories over Javier Molina and Angel Rebollar in his previous two fights. Prior to this year, Sandoval had won all of his bouts by knockout and will be looking to regain his knockout streak against the experienced Duno.

Duno, who was knocked out by Antonio Moran in the sixth round of their January fight at ProBox TV Events in Plant City, Florida, will be returning to the ring for the first time since that defeat.

In the co-feature, Kazakh middleweight Sadriddin Akhmedov (13-0, 11 KOs), now based in Santa Monica, will make his U.S. debut against Atlanta’s Antonio Todd (17-10, 9 KOs).
