Panamanian Celestino "Pelenchín" Caballero is preparing for his long journey to Japan. On Monday December 19, he plans to travel out for his upcoming defense of the world featherweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA), against local hero Satohi on December 31st at the Bunka Gym in Yokohama, Japan.

Caballero (35-4, 23 KOs) won the crown on October 14 with a twelve round decision over Jonathan Barros at the legendary Luna Park stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hosono (21-1, 15 KOs) will be Caballero's first defense.

For the local resident of Yokohama, this will be his second chance after failing to beat Thailand champion Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym in January of 2010 in Tokyo.

"Pelenchín" who is currently training in Las Vegas under the orders of his coach Jeff Mayweather, will take a flight to Los Angeles on Monday afternoon where he will spend the night, and then on Tuesday he boards a plane for 11 hours to Tokyo. The boxer is expected to arrive on Wednesday.

As usual, in addition to his boss Jeff Mayweather, he will be accompanied by his physician, Dr. Roniel Rudas, and his chief second and compatriot Miguel Callist.
