Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport has big plans in store for IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (35-0, 24KOs).

Brook makes the third defense of his world title on October 24th in Sheffield, when he steps in the ring with dangerous Diego Chaves of Argentina.

Should Brook walk away with the win, Hearn wants to stage a unification next year with WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, who faces Brandon Rios on November 7th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

After two or three more fights at welterweight, Hearn expects Brook to move up in weight to the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds.

Hearn has already been approached about the possibility of a Brook vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez bout in the future. Canelo challenges Miguel Cotto for the WBC middleweight title on November 21. That fight takes place at a catch-weight of 155. If Canelo wins, there is no guarantee that he'll remain at middleweight limit.

“We want Timothy Bradley next,” said Hearn to the Sheffield Star. “That is another belt for Kell towards his aim of unifying the division. I talked to Kell the other day and he is 100 percent keen on eclipsing Floyd Mayweather’s record. In two or three fights he will move to light middleweight. I have already had a sneaky inquiry from an American TV network over Canelo.”
