As reported a few days ago, WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas (27-1, 10KOs) believes IBF champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) is dragging his feet with signing their bout agreement.

Vargas took to the social networks late Saturday night and tweeted that Brook is stalling to finalize the fight, which is making Vargas now look to a rematch with Timothy Bradley.

"He doesn't seem to be interested in the fight from the looks of it.  Next big fight that the fans would enjoy would be the Bradley rematch," Vargas told his followers.

Vargas signed the contract some time ago, but there have been issues with finalizing the deal on Brook's end. The Sheffield fighter is looking to get a lot of money for the fight and certainly more than Vargas, who is reportedly getting $1.7 million to travel over to fight Brook on his home soil.

Brook took to the social networks himself, and issued a fiery response to Vargas.

"Stop talking sh*t Jessie Vargas. [Top Rank] have the terms, over 3 times your biggest purse. We are ready to knock you clean out," Brook stated.

BoxingScene.com reported a few days go that Brook's promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, was already looking to push the fight back to a date in October. The fight was initially planned for late August and then a date in September.

According to Hearn, finalizing the date was dependant on the agreed upon date for Gennady Golovkin vs. Chris Eubank Jr. If Hearn finalized that fight for September 10, then Brook-Vargas would be staged at the Sheffield Arena on October 8. With Sheffield United at home on October 8, 15 and 29, Bramall Lane would only be available to host Brook-Vargas on October 1 and 22.

"Brook was going to be September 10 but there have been a few negotiations to overcome on that so that fight may be early October, or we could go September with it if Golovkin isn't September," Hearn added.
