Junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley appeared on the most recent edition of BoxingScene.com’s official audio show "The Boxing Lab" and talked about potential fights with Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

When asked who he would prefer to fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr if given the chance, Timothy responded “Pacquiao. I want Manny Pacquiao. I want Manny Pacquiao because I feel stylistically, I think he plays into my game”.

Bradley, who just recently signed to Top Rank after breaking ties with now former promoter Gary Shaw, appears to be the next opponent in line to face Manny Pacquiao should a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr not materialize.

Bradley feels the more offensive Pacquiao would be an easier fight than Floyd who is considered the best defensive fighter in the game.

“Honestly, I think Floyd would be a harder fight than Manny Pacquiao. I think Floyd would be a way harder fight because Floyd is so defensive and he’s a sharp shooter. And every mistake you make, he’s going to make you pay” said Bradley as he gave an explanation to his answer.

“Manny Pacquiao, he opens up. Floyd don’t open up man. He opens up when he sees openings, but other than that, he’s defensive all the time. It’s a chess match.”

Part of what makes Bradley want a Pacquiao fight also lies in the fact that he thinks he can neutralize the things Pacquiao does best inside the squared circle.

“I think I’d be able to isolate a lot of things that [Pacquiao] likes to do in the ring” said Bradley.

With Bradley looking like the likely candidate to face Pacquiao next year, he may very well get the opportunity to show the world what he can do against the pound for pound champion.
