According to retired middleweight contender Nick Blackwell, unbeaten Tom Doran (17-0) is capable of stunning Chris Eubank Jr. this coming Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London.

Eubank will defend his British title against Doran as part of the Anthony Joshua vs. Dominic Breazeale Showtime Pay-Per-View.

Eubank won the British belt from Blackwell earlier this year. Blackwell took a terrible beating in the fight and spent several days in a coma before waking up and announcing his retirement from the sport.

Eubank seems to be fixated on a September fight with WBC/IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin. Eubank reunited with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport a few weeks ago with a single goal in mind - securing Golovkin in the fall.

Blackwell warns that Doran is a live dog who has the boxing ability to prevent Eubank from ever reaching his Golovkin goal.

"He could make himself big-time if he beats Eubank Jr and he's got the potential to do it," Blackwell exclusively told Sky Sports. "He's a very good fighter even though people don't know too much about him. He's a good boxer, he hits hard and he had great fight against Luke Keeler who is a very good boxer as well.

"Doran can win. This is boxing, it only takes one shot and he's got the power to do that. Eubank can take a shot, he's been hit with big shots before and he can take it. But anyone can get stopped. No matter how tough you are, you can get dropped."

"He's got to put the pressure on. When Eubank works, he likes to have a little rest, and that's when Doran's got to work and put his punches together. You've got to be 15-round fit to fight Eubank, you've got to be on his case. Get the counters in, then start working when Eubank's tired. I know the Eubanks won't be looking past him but maybe the public are."
