Former welterweight champions Devon Alexander and Andre Berto will headline a FOX broadcast August 4 from Uniondale, New York.

The card was officially announced Thursday morning by Premier Boxing Champions. The telecast headlined by Alexander (27-4-1, 14 KOs) and Berto (31-5, 24 KOs) will air from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The broadcast, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT, also will include a super middleweight bout between former WBO middleweight champ Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (33-1-1, 23 KOs) and J’Leon Love (24-1-1, 13 KOs).

“I’m very excited about this fight,” Alexander said. “Berto and I have history going back to the amateurs. I know him very well, but we’ve never fought. I have to show that I’m still one of the best in a stacked division. This is all business for me because, at this point in my career I’m approaching every fight as if it’s my last. This is prime time for me.

“My mentality is that Berto is still the killer that he was 10 years ago. So I’m looking at him like he’s lost nothing. I’ve got one mission, and that’s to beat Berto. I’ll be technically sound and 100-percent focused on accomplishing that task.”

The 31-year-old Alexander most recently fought to a 12-round majority draw with another former WBC welterweight champ, Victor Ortiz, on February 17 in El Paso, Texas.

The 34-year-old Berto hasn’t fought since Shawn Porter stopped him in the ninth round of their April 2017 fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Porter floored Berto three times in that fight.

This August 4 card will begin with a special edition of “PBC on Fox Sports 2” at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT. That portion of the telecast will feature unbeaten light heavyweight contender Marcus Browne and former WBA welterweight champ Luis Collazo.

Browne (21-0, 16 KOs), a 2012 American Olympian from Staten Island, is set to face the Dominican Republic’s Lenin Castillo (18-1-1, 13 KOs) in a 10-rounder. Brooklyn’s Collazo (37-7, 20 KOs) is set to battle Bryant Perrella (15-1, 13 KOs), of Fort Myers, Florida, in another 10-round bout.
