It's a rare Sunday edition of televised boxing in the United States. Rances Barthelemy and Antonio DeMarco square off on Father's Day, headlining the latest installment of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on CBS (Sunday, 4:00 p.m. ET), live from MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The bout is Barthelemy's second since vacating his junior lightweight title in favor of moving up in weight. DeMarco—a former two-time lightweight titlist—is coming off of a competitive loss to Jessie Vargas last November.

BOXINGSCENE STAFF PREDICTIONS: RANCES BARTHELEMY vs. ANTONIO DEMARCO

Ryan Burton (Barthelemy UD): Rances dominates every round as DeMarco's best days are clearly behind him.

Jake Donovan (Barthelemy Dec): Tempted to go with the upset here, as I sense Barthelemy is biting off quite a bit in his first true fight at junior welterweight. DeMarco is on the wrong side of his prime, but I can see this fight playing out similar to Omar Figueroa's win over Ricky Burns last month, right down to a debatable decision in the end.

Peter Lim (Barthelemy UD): DeMarco is one of those tough guys who can beat any fighter on any given night provided they stand in the pocket and trade with him. But he is dumbfounded by anyone who knows his way around the ring and refuses to engage him in his comfort zone. Barthelemy will be one of them. The tall, lanky Cuban easily boxes, sidesteps and counter punches his way to a lopsided decision over the Mexican southpaw.

Takahiro Onaga (Barthelemy UD): DeMarco gets outboxed by talented Barthelemy who is suited for 140 lbs.

Cliff Rold (Barthelemy KO): Barthelemy looks to be better higher on the scale and DeMarco is on the side of it. It will last a bit but the Cuban eventually puts him away.

Victor Salazar (Demarco TKO): Barthelemy is in his prime but moving up in weight. Demarco is on the decline part of his career but fought well against Jessie Vargas. I think if Demarco brings it, he can get the upset victory by stoppage, so I’ll go with that.

Reynaldo Sanchez (DeMarco TKO8): I have serious doubts about fighters suddenly climbing weight classes. DeMarco has a lot of time fighting at 140, and he resisted the Valero power. Rances will be in the toughest fight of his career at a weight which will not have any advantage.
