Former WBA world featherweight champion Jonathan "Yoni" Barros (39-4-1, 22 KOs) is looking to get a fight against Eric Hunter (21- 3, 11 KOs), in order to crown a mandatory challenger to the current featherweight champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), Lee Selby.

Barros is ranked at number 5, while Hunter is 4th. The number three position is held by Abner Mares who faces Leo Santa Cruz in September. The number one and two positions are both vacant.

Hunter is having a great 2016, with a victory over Rene Alvarado to start things off and a first round knockout of Antonio Escalante in May.

Barros has won five fights in a row since getting stopped in eight rounds by Mikey Garcia in 2012.
