Top flyweight Ava "Lady of Boxing" Knight (10-1-3, 5KOs) won the Diamond Belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC, for its acronym in English) with a ten unanimous decision over Mariana "La Barbie" Juarez (35-6-3, 16KOs) at the Palace of Sports in Mexico City.  Knight controlled the action with hard hooks to the head and the body from the first round, as she looked to overwhelm Juarez. The scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 96-94).

Miguel "Mickey" Roman and Dante "Crazy" Jardon battled for twelve rounds of action in their rematch, this time around it was Jardon who got the nod with scores of 109-117, 107-119 and 106-118 - avenging a split decision loss from earlier this year.
