LAS VEGAS -- Top Rank CEO Bob Arum believes that he achieved promotional success with Saturday night's unanimous decision by eight-division king, Manny Pacquiao, over Shane Mosley in defense of his WBO welterweight belt at the MGM Hotel, and that fans are buying the Filipino super star's fights simply to see him perform.

"Manny is not dull. He is the aggressor. He is an entertaining fighter and I believe that most people that bought the fight tonight bought it not with the expectation that Shane Mosley was going to win," said Arum of Pacquiao, who was coming off of November's unanimous decision over Antonio Margarito.

"They bought the Antonio Margarito fight not because they thought that he was going to win, but because they wanted to be entertained by Manny Pacquiao," said Arum. "Manny is a great fighter. That's why people are buying his fights now. He has achieved greatness."

Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 knockouts) dropped Mosley (46-7-1, 39 KOs) in the third round, but could not finish him off, in part, the fighter said, to the emergeance of cramps during and after the fourth round.

Pacquiao's camp blamed the subsequent lulls in action to Mosley's failure to engage as much as Pacquiao's injury, but their relative inactivity caused the fans to boo occasionally.

"I don't know why they booed. But I interpreted it to the fact that they wanted Shane to engage more. Manny was on the offensive the whole fight," said Arum. "Manny wasn't exactly wasn't exactly playing tiddly winks with some of those shots that he was hitting Shane with."
