BoxingScene.com caught up to Top Rank Promotions CEO, Bob Arum, to get his take on the 1.3 million pay per view buys for last month's unanimous decision by eight-division and WBO welterweight king Manny Pacquiao over Shane Mosley. The exact figure is unknown and Arum expects to receive the final number in two to three months, but the current figure is in excess of 1.3 million. Pacquiao returns on November 12 in a trilogy bout with Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico.

BoxingScene.com: What are your thoughts on the numbers that Manny Pacquiao drew in defeating Shane Mosley?

Bob Arum: Well, the 1.3 is what we have for sure. How much more it is, I don't know. Because we don't have figures for some of the cable systems, such as the smaller ones.

We'll know in a couple of months, two or three months, exactly what the number is. But it's in excess of 1.3, and that we know for sure.

BoxingScene.com: Is that a number you were expecting or were hoping for, and what do you think that it speaks to?

BA: We're very pleased with that number. Obviously, this is the biggest Manny Pacquiao fight ever, including his fight with Oscar De La Hoya, so we're pleased with that. People are fascinated with Manny Pacquiao. He's the most highly exposed of any boxer and probably no one has has as many endorsements. Everybody knows him. Everybody wants to watch him because they know that he's going to give 100 percent of himself in every fight.
