According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto will have the full court advantage on which opponent he'll face in the fall on pay-per-view. In the coming weeks, Arum plans to sit down with the representatives of Antonio Margarito and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Arum will put together two offers and bring them to Cotto's legal adviser, Gabriel Peñagaricano. Cotto will them make a decision based on the financial numbers of the two packages.

It appears now that Cotto's next fight could take place on the year-end date of December 3, likely in Las Vegas, and not within the first two weeks of October as previously planned.

"I'll meet with the representatives of Chavez and Margarito and then I will sit down to talk with (Gabriel) Peñagaricano and Miguel and I'll present the two offers and from [those two] he will choose. Cotto has earned that right (to choose) because, after Manny Pacquiao, he is the biggest attraction on pay-per-view today," Arum told Les Jiminez.
