Boxing returns to the Inland Empire of Southern California on Friday night as Thompson Boxing Promotions presents their final fight card of 2014.

In the eight round main event, welterweight Artemio Reyes will fight Christopher Degollado at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.

The bout will headline the five-bout “Locked N’ Loaded” card.

Reyes (22-2, 18 KOs), from nearby Colton, knocked out Abraham Alvarez in the second round of a 10-round bout on June 27 in Ontario. He has won his last seven bouts in a row since a first round knockout loss to Alan Sanchez in April of 2012.

The 28-year-old Reyes, who is trained by Joel Diaz, is one semester away from completing his Bachelor’s degree in business at nearby California State University, San Bernardino.

Degollado (11-3, 9 KOs) began his professional career winning his first 10 bouts in a row. He has since lost three of his last four bouts.

In his last bout on September 11, Degollado, who resides in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, lost an eight round decision to Pritchard Colon.

Lightweight Jose Roman will fight Jose Luis Ramirez Jr. in an eight round bout.

Roman (18-1-1, 12 KOs) has won his last four bouts in a row since suffering his only defeat in his pro career to Robert Osiobe. In his last bout on September 26, he won an eight round unanimous decision over Hector Velazquez.

Ramirez (7-1-1, 4 KOs) was stopped in his last bout by Alan Sanchez on August 16 in Carson, Calif.

In an eight round bout, unbeaten bantamweight Carlos Carlson (15-0, 10 KOs) will fight Miguel Tamayo. Carlson struggled to an eight round majority decision over Jose Cen Torres in his last bout on July 25.

Two four round bouts complete the card.
