Juan Manuel Márquez pulled off a major victory for Mexico last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. After nearly six rounds of war, Marquez knocked out Manny Pacquiao with a second remaining in the sixth round. This Saturday night in Houston, Jorge “Travieso” Arce (61-6-2, 46 KO’s) will challenge WBO super bantamweight king “Filipino Flash” Nonito Donaire (30-1-0, 19 KO’s) in an HBO televised main event.

Arce says he is very motivated by Marquez's big win and vows to duplicate that victory with another shocking upset of a heavily favored Filipino boxer.

"Marquez's victory, my experience, my style, my delivery in the ring and especially the strong criticism of my detractors have heavily motivated me. Get ready to see what I will do with Nonito Donaire on Saturday. I'll secure another victory for our beloved Mexico. We are now in the range of 122 pounds and without a hitch we'll make the super bantamweight limit. We will bring a lot of strength, explosiveness and my physical condition will be like it's never been before. I am eager to be in the ring against Donaire," Arce said.
