Former world champion Antonio DeMarco and welterweight contender Jorge 'Maromerito' Paez have been scheduled for a doubleheader on November 19 in Chiapas, south of Mexico, in an evening being promoted by Zanfer Promotions. Both boxers hope to relaunch their careers.

A source within Zanfer told ESPN Deportes, although not confirmed, that it would be in Chiapas. The promoter has asked the fighters to be ready for that date, as it has been programmed with TV Azteca.

DeMarco has not risen to the ring since losing to Omar Figueroa Jr. in a very entertaining fight in December of last year, which incidentally was his third loss in a row, as he had previously been defeated previously by Jessie Vargas and Rances Barthelemy in November 2014 and June 2015, which caused a retirement announcement that didn't last too long.

DeMarco does not have an opponent but he's be back in the welterweight division, pending a position at 140 pounds for a fight of good caliber next year, as he still hopes to make the leap of quality and go for a world championship.

Antonio, from Sinaloa but resident in Tijuana, has a professional record 31-6-1 and 23 knockouts. He was lightweight champion under the World Boxing Council between 2009 and 2012, with wins over Jose Alfaro, John Molina, Jorge Linares and Miguel Roman and defeats to Edwin Valero and Adrien Broner.

Paez Jr. has not risen to the ring since March, when he lost a decision to former champion Antonio Margarito. He dropped Margarito hard in the contest but ended up losing by way of points. His return has been postponed twice since he hasn't been ready to fight, but the date in November seems to going ahead as planned.

'Maromerito' has lost three of his last four outings, and Zanfer wants to put out again showcase to launch his path to another good opportunity. He's been beaten by Jose Benavidez, Carlos Ocampo and Antonio Margarito.

At 28-years-old, he holds a pro record of 39-8-2 mark and 23 knockouts and needs to demonstrate that he still has the ambition to succeed.
