Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo was in Las Vegas to take in Floyd Mayweather's dominant victory over Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on September 14th.  Shortly after the fight BoxingScene.com and other members of the media caught up with the Mexicali, Mexico native to get his take on several topics including Danny Garcia's upset victory over Lucas Matthysse.

Angulo was asked about potential future opponents for Garcia and if he would like to see Garcia face Floyd Mayweather in his next fight.

"He has been fighting at 140 so he would have to go up to 47 for Mayweather.  I don't know. I don't think he is ready for him," Angulo stated.

The 31-year-old Angulo was stopped in his last fight which took place in June against Erislandy Lara.  Angulo turned his back after being punched which prompted the ref to call off the fight. There was some controversy after the fight as Angulo and his trainer Virgil Hunter complained that the punch was actually Lara's thumb hitting his eye which caused the huge hematoma.

The thumbing has never been proven but Angulo and Lara have exchanged words on Twitter over the injury and a potential rematch.  Angulo has his doubts that Lara is actually the person making those statements on Twitter but wanted to remind the Cuban of the fact that he floored him twice in their fight.

"Lara has been talking a lot of sh*t on the internet, on Twitter.  Ask him who is the only guy to put your ass on the floor two times?  It is me.  I have respect for Lara but I don't have respect for the people talking sh*t.  There is a big difference.  I don't like people talking sh*t.  Me, I always keep my mouth shut and train," Angulo stated.
