Promising Polish light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara (22-2, 12 KO) is getting ready for his return to the ring which will take place on November 16th in Chicago, Illinois. The 24-years old “The Prince” will face an American Tommy Karpency (21-3-1, 14 KO). The bout is scheduled for 12 rounds with the vacant IBO light heavyweight title at stake. Fonfara is coming back to the ring after his impressive victory over veteran Glen Johnson (51-17-2, 35 KO) in July.

"The preparation is going well, but it’s obviously hard. Currently I'm sparring with some good southpaws. I have no injuries, I can say that I feel even better than before the fight with Glen Johnson. I’m in excellent shape," Fonfara said.

"The only one thing I know about Karpency is that he’s a southpaw. I watched his fight against Cleverly and I based [my tactis] on it, because it was his last appearance. We were trying to find his other fights, but we couldn’t get any. Karpency can take a punch, Cleverly was punching him hard for 12 rounds, but he couldn’t take him down. He also possesses good defense, so I expect that our fight will be interesting."
