On August 23rd at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, USBA #10 Amir "Hardcore" Mansour (18-0) will look to continue his path of carnage in the heavyweight division when he takes on USBA #9 Maurice "Sugar Moe" Harris (26-17-2). The outcome will lay down the blueprint for both warriors' careers.

Amir Mansour has suffered many setbacks in his pro boxing career and none of which were suffered inside of the ring.  At the age of 41, Mansour has completed numerous jail sentences.  Mansour will not allow past issues to deter his dream of carrying the Heavyweight Championship.  For most the age of 41 signifies the end of a career but in Mansour's case it is different.  Mansour has not taken punishment throughout his career like his counterpart.  Not to mention most of "Hardcore's" in ring encounters never make it the distance.

A win here will not only capture him the USBA title but will ensure him a top 15 ranking in the IBF. With 14 KO's in Mansour's 18 fights, it is almost guaranteed that the WORLDWIDE LIVE audience watching at home on GFL.tv will catch a highlight reel KO.  That is unless veteran upset specialist Maurice Harris has anything to say about it.  Harris has shared the ring with a who's who in the heavyweight division.  Harris has fought the likes of Larry Holmes, Chris Byrd, Siarhei Liakhovich, Fres Oquendo, and Tony Thompson. His controversial stoppage loss to Tony Thompson was part of an IBF box-off for a shot at Wladimir Klitschko's title.

Most likely, this encounter will be the last chance saloon for the 37 year old battle worn Harris.  A win here could lead to one last run at his dream.  Since his loss to Thompson,  Harris is has 2 wins and 2 losses.  One of the losses was a very controversial decision to Edmund Gerber in Germany.  His other loss was against another fringe contender Albert Sosnowski in a 3 round split decision as a part of the Prizefighter Tournament.  Recently he defeated Jason Bergman, via close split decision, in Bergman's hometown.

In the Co-Main Event of the evening, Edgar Santana (27-4) & Michael Clark (44-8-1) will go head to head for the vacant NABA Light Welterweight title.  This is another true crossroads fight with both men being 1-1 in their past two fights.
