Former world champion Alex Arthur believes WBO lightweight king Ricky Burns (35-2, 10KOs) needs bigger fights. He says the previously scheduled matches with Jose Ocampo, and Liam Walsh, were below the proper standards of who the champion should be fighting.

"It doesn't look good. You would think he would have a named opponent by now - and a top caliber name," said Arthur to BBC Scotland.

"The two matches that were made for him were relatively small by his standards. I think Ricky will want bigger fights than that. It's really important for him that he competes at a higher level than the fights he's recently been scheduled at."

There were discussions to make a unification with WBC champion Adrien Broner, but the two sides could not agree on the financial terms.
