Centro de Convenciones, Toluca, México - Adrian Hernandez (25-2-1, 16KOs) got revenge with a sixth round TKO victory over Kompayak Porpramook (46-4, 31KOs) to regain the WBC junior flyweight championship. Last December in Bangkok, Thailand - Porpramook stopped Hernandez in the eleventh round to capture the belt.

Aftr two tough rounds, Hernandez dropped the champion at the end of the third. The champion beat the count and then Hernandez tried to finish him off in the corner. The bell rang as Hernandez was trying to finish and there was some confusion on whether or not the bell sounded a few seconds late.

It was a physical war, with both fighters often standing toe to toe and exchanging huge shots to the head and body. Early in the sixth round, a big barrage by Hernandez - capped by a monster right hand - sent the champion down on his back for the second time in the contest. He once again beat the count, but his legs were unsteady and the referee waved off the contest.
