Newly crowned WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis "Superman" Stevenson appeared on a recent edition of BoxingScene Radio. Stevenson spoke to us about his big June 8th upset knockout victory over Chad Dawson.

"With Chad Dawson I told everybody I was going to knock him out. I was prepared very well for the fight. I did my job. I went in there and boxed him and knocked him out. I did my job," Stevenson stated.

The 35-year-old said that he put on the weight right way and that he can still make the 168 pound limit which will provide him with even more options.

"I gained the weight and I trained with heavyweights for this fight because I knew Chad is very big and strong at 175. I trained hard but I can still make 168 so I have a few options. I can fight at 175 and 168," Stevenson revealed.

Stevenson said that he feels even stronger at 175 pounds even though he also felt strong at super middleweight as well where he also has shown one punch knockout power.

"I feel strong at 175. I have amazing power at 175 but at 168 too. With one punch I can knock you out. I know I have this power and my trainer (Javon) "Sugar" Hill gave me good advice, showed me good footwork," Stevenson told BoxingScene Radio.

The Montreal, Canada based fighter was very emotional in the ring after sealing the victory. He said that the win fulfilled his goal in the sport.

"Oh my God. It is amazing. It is a dream come true. I feel very happy. I worked very hard to become a world champion and I fulfilled my dream. It is very great feeling," said Stevenson.
