The hard-hitting puncher of Salta, Argentina - Luis Carlos Abregu (33-1, 27KO's) - is in the final stage of his preparation for the scheduled fight against Puerto Rican welterweight prospect Thomas Dulorme (16-0, 12KO's ). The fight will headline an HBO televised tripleheader on October 27 at Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, New York. Abregu has only lost one fight, by decision, to WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.

"Everything is going great. I've been working at 100% and I'm ready for the big fight. We will win and we are grateful for the opportunity to be on HBO. We want to be a world champion and come with everything to gain. [Dulorme] is a guy who comes prepared. He is a good prospect that is promising, but I realize that he's never faced anyone like me, and he is not at my level. He will not withstand my pressure," Abregu said.

"We saw some things through YouTube. We saw some mistakes and we will explore them in the fight. He definitely has talent and but I do not think he is at Bradley's level, yet. In the Bradley fight, I had a bad right hand and I could not fight my fight. Now everything is good, I'm healthy and ready for this great opportunity. I worked hard in the gym and I'm sure that he will not withstand the pressure from a fighter on my level."
