Former world middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (34-3, 27KOs) did not take part in Saturday's post-fight press conference after his dominating twelve round decision win over Piotr Wilczewski (30-3). Abraham went to the hospital to see physician because the boxer felt pain and discomfort to his right ear and wants to check if his eardrum was busted in the fight.

"Arthur was sent to the doctor because we are not 100% sure whether or not his right ear has a torn eardrum," says trainer Ulli Wegner. "After the fight, the boxer felt pain and discomfort. Health is more important to us than making an arrival at a press conference.

Wegner also gave an assessment of Abraham's win.

"The main thing for us in the battle against Wilczewski - was getting the victory. Everyone saw that Abraham has great potential. He could have knocked the opponent out. However, to become a world champion, he [has to get better]. In particular, Arthur has to work harder with the jab," Wegner said.
