Decorated amateur standout and two-time National Golden Gloves champion Abel Gonzalez has signed an agreement with up-and-coming manager Ryan Rickey and is scheduled to make his professional debut on September 27th in Louisville, Kentucky. 

When asked for comment on his new deal, and professional debut the 24-year-old Miami native said - "My professional career took a moment to get started. But I'm confident that I have surrounded myself with the best people possible to guide my career. I humbly believe I'm the best young 168 fighter in the country and I know big opportunities are around the corner. I have the people who believe in me and a great family. September 27th the world gets put on notice."

Rickey, an emerging power player in the word of fighter management is best known for his work with light heavyweight title contender Radivoje Kalajdzic and heavyweight up and comer Brandon Moore, whom Rickey manages alongside industry veteran Keith Connolly.

Gonzalez will be the third Florida-based amateur national champion to entrust Rickey with guiding their career as he joins stablemates Lorenzo Media, and DaMazion VanHouter.
